a preclinical-stage biopharmaceutical with demonstrated proof-of-principle
as a peripheral neuropathy therapy.
Our Solution:
The drug's basic science was completely reviewed, and its
mechanisms were analyzed against the dozens of peripheral
neuropathy etiologic segments. For each segment, scientific
and clinical judgment was applied to estimate efficacy, breadth
of clinical utility, and performance levels required for success.
Results were validated with nationwide, in-depth clinical
and specialist interviews. Product profiles specifying all
key attributes and market positioning were developed and linked
to target patient populations, durations of therapy, pricing,
and market models. The highest-value product profiles were
targeted with a trade-off analysis examining market, development,
and manufacturing risks.
