MA, August 31, 2001 — PROFORMANT, Inc. announced today the launch of its resources alliance with AmeriNet, Inc., the nation’s largest membership-based GPO.

In addition to accelerating corporate development, the alliance also provides additional benefits to clients. It facilitates strategic alliances by leveraging AmeriNet’s relationships with every major US medical supplier. It enables pre-positioning of new products for GPO review upon clinical approval. Furthermore, it provides resources for optimizing pricing and sales strategy by exploring cost-utility, coding, purchasing, and contracting scenarios, and for clarifying product performance requirements by accessing and balancing inputs from all key customer segments.
Open architecture systems have been built to automate and manage project-related access to AmeriNet’s vast membership base of leading academic medical centers, acute care hospitals, ambulatory care centers, integrated delivery networks, surgicenters, long-term care facilities, home health organizations, rehabilitation centers, and clinical laboratories. Within this membership are leading, front-line clinicians of every medical specialty and practice setting, and key purchasing decision makers responsible for $5B of annual purchasing of more than one million different products from more than 1000 suppliers.
